About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Accessory Mechanic to support the repair and overhaul of aviation engine components in a fast paced MRO environment. This position focuses on component level work rather than aircraft line maintenance and is ideal for mechanics who enjoy precision assembly, teardown, and testing.

You will work hands on with engine accessories such as fuel systems and related components, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with approved data and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble engine accessories and related components

Perform functional testing to verify performance and serviceability

Interpret manuals, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure compliance

Measure and verify tolerances using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers

Follow established work scopes and documentation procedures

Maintain a clean, organized, and safety compliant work environment


What We Are Looking For

Prior experience in aviation maintenance, preferably with component or accessory work

Experience with repair, overhaul, or troubleshooting of items such as fuel controls, fuel pumps, or similar systems

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings

Familiarity with precision measuring tools and mechanical assembly processes

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Basic personal tool set required


Preferred Qualifications Not Required

Experience working in a Part 145 repair station or MRO environment

Familiarity with turbine engine accessories

Experience with Pratt and Whitney PT6 and or Rolls Royce T56 501 components

A and P certification

Background in test cell operations or component testing


Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is a shop based position and not flight line work

Frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds

Repetitive hand and arm movements requiring precision and focus

Work is performed in a structured and team oriented repair environment

Open to candidates from aerospace, manufacturing, machining, or other precision inspection environments.


What You’ll Do

  • Inspect parts at incoming, in process, and final stages
  • Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges to verify tolerances
  • Identify and quarantine nonconforming material
  • Verify fits and clearances based on technical data
  • Read and interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications
  • Complete inspection reports and ensure accurate documentation
  • Approve parts for return to service (if qualified)

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years in precision inspection, manufacturing, machining, or MRO environments
  • Strong experience using measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges)
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings, and technical data
  • Experience working with tight tolerances and critical components
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy


Preferred (not required):

  • Aviation or engine MRO experience
  • Familiarity with FAA or OEM standards
  • Powerplant license
  • Calibration experience
