Position Summary

Stone Creek Eagle Leadership Council is seeking dependable, caring, and professional Substitute Teachers to provide instructional support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Substitute Teachers are responsible for maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment while following lesson plans and school procedures. Candidates should demonstrate strong classroom management skills, flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to student success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Report to assigned school and classroom on time and prepared for the workday.
• Follow lesson plans and instructional materials left by the classroom teacher.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Supervise students during instructional periods, transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties.
• Encourage positive student behavior and enforce school policies consistently.
• Take attendance and maintain accurate classroom records.
• Communicate any significant classroom concerns to school administration.
• Protect the confidentiality of student information.
• Adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and classroom environments.
• Complete a substitute teacher report at the end of each assignment for the regular teacher.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administrators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework or teaching certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and employment requirements.
