Position Summary
The Principal serves as the instructional and administrative leader of the school, responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where students and staff can succeed. The Principal oversees daily school operations, supervises employees, promotes academic excellence, and builds strong relationships with students, families, and the community while ensuring the school’s mission and vision are achieved.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership
- Provide strong instructional and organizational leadership.
- Develop and communicate the school’s vision and goals.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture.
- Lead staff meetings and professional development activities.
- Support continuous school improvement initiatives.
Staff Management
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teachers and support staff.
- Conduct classroom observations and performance evaluations.
- Encourage professional growth and leadership among employees.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and retaining high-quality staff.
- Address employee concerns professionally and confidentially.
Student Success
- Promote academic excellence and student achievement.
- Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
- Oversee student discipline using fair and consistent practices.
- Support student attendance, engagement, and positive behavior.
- Encourage extracurricular programs and student leadership opportunities.
School Operations
- Manage daily campus operations efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all school policies and procedures.
- Develop and oversee school schedules and emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Collaborate with district leadership on strategic planning.
Family & Community Engagement
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians.
- Communicate school news, events, and important updates.
- Represent the school professionally within the community.
- Encourage family involvement in school activities.
Financial & Resource Management
- Assist with budgeting and responsible use of school resources.
- Monitor instructional materials and equipment.
- Ensure school facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in education or school leadership.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire staff and students.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Work Schedule
