Position Summary
The Business Office Manager & Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative operations of the Central Office while managing all human resources functions for the organization. This executive-level position ensures efficient office operations, recruitment, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, personnel records, benefits administration, policy compliance, and overall workforce management for all media schools and central office departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the Central Office.
- Lead all Human Resources functions for the organization.
- Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new employees.
- Maintain confidential employee personnel records and HR documentation.
- Develop, implement, and enforce organizational policies and employee procedures.
- Administer employee benefits, leave requests, payroll coordination, and employment records.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and workplace regulations.
- Advise leadership on staffing needs, employee performance, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns.
- Coordinate employee training, professional development, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee employee recognition and retention initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR databases, employment files, and compliance records.
- Assist with organizational budgeting related to personnel and administrative operations.
- Supervise business office administrative staff and HR support personnel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with school administrators and executive leadership to ensure consistent HR practices across all media schools.
- Prepare reports for executive leadership regarding staffing, vacancies, employee turnover, and workforce planning.
- Perform additional administrative and leadership duties as assigned by the Business Owner & President.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in human resources, office management, or administrative leadership preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong knowledge of employment practices, personnel management, and organizational operations.

Work Environment
This position is based at the Central Office and works closely with executive leadership, school administrators, and employees across all media schools. Occasional travel to school locations may be required.
