This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead human resources functions that directly impact the well-being and development of our staff, while aligning HR practices with our mission to provide exceptional behavioral health services.

Key Objectives

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support Mayo Behavioral Health’s goals and values.
  • Enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on all HR-related matters to management and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment, on boarding, and retention efforts to attract and maintain top talent.
  • Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Develop and administer performance management processes, including evaluations, feedback, and improvement plans.
  • Design and deliver training programs focused on professional growth, compliance, and organizational culture.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits administration, and payroll coordination in partnership with finance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to inform leadership decisions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support organizational change and workforce planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within healthcare or behavioral health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and talent management strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
